20mph Consultation

Consultation - Reduction of 30mph to 20mph in Postling

Following the recent informal Parish Highway Improvement Plan consultation on reducing the 30mph speed limit in Postling to 20mph, Kent County Council has issued the attached 'proposed deposit documents for Amendment 1 a Speed Limit Order on Various Roads, Postling'.

The documents below detail the scope and reasons for the proposal. They have been emailed to parishioners on the Parish Email List and are also available to view on the village noticeboard. (if you wish to join the Parish Email List please email [email protected])

KCC is asking for representations SUPPORTING OR OBJECTING to this proposal. As so many parishioners responded to our informal consultation in support, and some against, please respond accordingly via the Highways' website (link in second paragraph in Highways' message below). 

From KCC Highways -

Please find attached the proposed deposit documents for Amendment 1 a Speed Limit Order on Various Roads, Postling in the District of Folkestone & Hythe. This order will be on public deposit from this Friday 20 February until 16 March 2026 and will be advertised in the Kent Messenger week ending Friday 20 February 2026 and public notices will be placed on site.

Representations supporting or objecting to the proposed Order can be made via our website from 20 February at www.kent.gov.uk/highwaysconsultations or alternatively you can write to The Senior Parking & Traffic Regulation Officer, Kroner House, Traffic Management Team, Highways & Transportation, Eurogate Business Park, Ashford, Kent TN24 8XU by 12 noon on Monday 16 March 2026.
